Pawleys Island:
Clement Albert West, 83, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. West was born in Wilkes Co., Ga. on June 17, 1926, a son of the late Percy Alexander West and Lilian Gertrude Taylor West. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. West worked in road and bridge construction in the Southeast for 30 years. He then worked for Lower Waverly Plantation for 25 years. Mr. West enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Surviving are: his wife, Patricia Presnell West of Pawleys Island; a son, Michael C. West (Janice) of Hampton; a step-daughter, Lee Kuduzs of San Antonio, Tex.; a step-son, Clay Shehan of Hawaii; a granddaughter, Michelle Evelyn Parnell (I.B.) of Thomson, Ga.; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. West was predeceased by his first wife, Flora Mae West; three sisters; and a brother.
Memorial services will be on Saturday morning, May 8, 2010, at eleven o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. John Rea.
