Andrews:
Creola Strong Foster, 91, widow of Walter "John" Leroy Foster, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.
Mrs. Foster was born in Andrews on July 31, 1921, a daughter of the late Ernest Strong and Lottie A. Morris Strong. She grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School. Mrs. Foster was a retired employee of Oneita Knitting Mills and a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Foster was predeceased by: a daughter, Mary Evelyn Ethridge; and step-mother, Dosson Cantley Strong.
Surviving are: three sons, Linwood Foster (Lou) of Litchfield Beach, Stanley L. Foster of Murrells Inlet, and Anthony Foster (Laura) of Rock Hill; two daughters, Marilyn F. Plunkett (John) of Andrews and Annalyn F. Lambert (Mitchell) of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Terri and Sandi Wilson, Jessica Sharpe, Jeremy, Stan, Allee and Rutledge Foster, Melissa Rapley, and Sherrelle Abbott; seven great-grandchildren; two half-brothers, Ernie Strong of Florence and Donnie Strong of Pawleys Island; and two half-sisters, Irene S. McCants of Andrews and Robin S. Munnerlyn of Georgetown.

Funeral services will be two o'clock Monday afternoon, December 17, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P. Sapp. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, Sunday evening, December 16, 2012, from six until eight.
