Murrells Inlet:
Cynthia Smith Taylor, 82, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Lumberton, N. C. on June 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Ernest Luther Smith and Fannie Hayes Smith. She grew up in Charlotte, N. C. and lived in Georgetown for many years prior to moving to Murrells Inlet. Mrs. Taylor was a member of First Baptist Church in Georgetown.
Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by: her husband, Nolan "Red" Everett Taylor; and a son, Bernard "Bernie" W. Taylor.
Surviving are: a daughter, Charlotte T. Altman of Murrells Inlet; a son, Eric W. Taylor of Murrells Inlet; a grandson, Gordon B. Altman of Columbia; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica N. Altman of Columbia.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2005, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill and the Rev. Hiram L. McElrath.
The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Tuesday evening, April 26, 2005, from six until eight.
