McClellanville:
Daisy Lee Smith Glasser, 63, died Thursday, January 15, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Glasser was born in Tigerville on May 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Ed Smith and Katie Robertson Smith. She attended Blue Ridge High School. Mrs. Glasser was a resident of McClellanville for thirty years. She was a member of McClellanville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Glasser worked in the restaurant business for a number of years and was a former owner and operator of her own restaurant.
Surviving are: her husband of thirty-four years, James E. Glasser of McClellanville; a son, Alan L. Kann of Lexington; three daughters, Debora K. Sellers of Bolivia, N. C., Patricia K. Hewitt of Carolina Beach, N. C., and Kelly G. Mayer of Georgetown; four brothers, Clarence R. Smith of Taylors, Devoe Smith and Alton Smith, both of Lyman, Leonard E. Smith of N. Charleston; three sisters, Velta S. Morgan of Greenville, Tweedie S. Perry of Lexington, and Margaret S. Gilbert of Augusta, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2004, at McClellanville United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Carol B. Grant. Burial will follow in Wren's Chapel United Methodist Churchyard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from six until nine Saturday evening, January 17, 2004 at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
