Andrews:
Dan Langston, 66, died Saturday, February 15, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Langston was born March 8, 1953, in Georgetown, a son of the late Wade Hampton Langston and Carrie Casselman Langston.
Mr. Langston grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School. He was employed as a supervisor for Rappahannock Wire for thirty-three years until retirement. Mr. Langston was an avid outdoorsman and had a great love for fishing and cooking. He was very passionate about NASCAR, Wrestling, watching Old Westerns, and the Carolina Gamecocks. Mr. Langston was a very humble, compassionate and loving father and grandfather. Mr. Langston help raise many children as his own. He will surely be missed by his family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Langston is predeceased by: by a sister, Barbara Langston Davis; and two brothers, Arthur Langston and Walt Langston.
Surviving are: three sons, Jack Langston of Andrews; Nolan Langston and Christopher Johnson, both of Hemingway; a daughter, Daphne Langston of Andrews; two brothers, Don Langston and Andy Owens; two sisters, Bonny "Jan" Langston West and Barbara Langston Davis; five grandchildren, Jack Baizley, Kirsten Howard, Trent Graham Peyten and Preston Johnson; the children's mothers, Annie Jane Blakeley and Paula Miller.
Funeral Services will be four o'clock Monday, February 17, 2020, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from three until four o'clock.
