Andrews: Dana Lorin Mixon, 51, died Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dana was born in Georgetown on December 31, 1965, a son of Corine Ethridge Mixon and the late Roy Mixon. He grew up in the Piney Forest Community of Williamsburg Co. Dana worked in logging most of his life and for his father at Roy Mixon Furniture Co. He loved hunting, fishing, and playing church softball. Dana enjoyed caring for his cats and his grand-dog "Copper". He was a loving father and son. In addition to his father, Dana was predeceased by: a son, Jonathan Roy Mixon; and a brother, Gerald Mixon. Surviving in addition of his mother of Andrews are: a daughter, Jessica Mixon Wilson (Will) of Andrews; three brothers, Dennis Mixon of Georgetown, Lee Roy Jacobs, Jr. of Andrews, and Kendall Jacobs of Patrick; two sisters, Roberta M. Cox and Brenda M. Wilson, both of Andrews. Memorial services will be at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, August 23, 2017, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev.
