Daniel Garcia Gonzalez, 48, of Georgetown, SC , passed away on December 23, 2023. He was born on January 5th, 1975, in Mexico City, Mexico. He was the son of Maria Gonzalez and the late Daniel Garcia.

He grew up in Mexico City along with three other siblings whom he is survived by: Lourdes Garcia 51 (Mexico City, Mx.), Leticia Garcia 45 ( Georgetown, SC. ), and Roberto Garcia 36 (Pawleys Island, SC.)

Later in life, he met and fell in love with his high-school sweetheart, Patricia Puntos. To seal their love for each other they married in August of 1992. The first fruit of their marriage brought about their eldest child, Viri Garcia. Soon after, they took on a journey to make a better life for his family and they moved to the United States in 1998. They chose Georgetown, South Carolina to be their new place of residence. Upon their arrival he sought immediate employment with Waccamaw Landscaping and Construction company, owned and operated by Steven and Jean Rothrock at the time. This started his journey with Waccamaw, which Chad O'Brien later joined as co-operator. He was loyal to the leadership of this company and to the work ethic it represents for 25 years. He was grateful to this company and the opportunity it gave him upon his arrival in the States. This was evident through the many years of service and labor he gave in return.

After establishing himself in his place of residence, he welcomed the birth of three more children: Nathalia 23, Jacqueline 21, and Daniel Garcia Jr. 17, who all reside in Georgetown, South Carolina.

An important part of his life later became the church he attended, Iglesia Bautista Ebenezer (Ebenezer Baptist Church) where he came to know the Lord in March of 2016. From then on, his life changed completely, and he had a new purpose in life with his family attending faithfully and actively participating in all the activities organized by the church. He took on leadership positions in the church such as assisting with couples ministry, giving devotionals during prayer meetings, and accompanying other church leaders in soul-winning on Friday evenings. He loved serving in any area possible at his church and showed his love for the Lord in this and many other ways.

Furthermore, Daniel enjoyed spending time with his family later welcoming three grandchildren from his oldest daughter: Valeria 12, Daniela 9, and Caleb Trejo 8 mos. He also enjoyed going shopping with his wife, and regularly working out at the gym where he made valuable friendships. He loved spreading a positive mentality to everyone around him. He strived to find teachable moments in which he could be a blessing to anyone who was nearby.

He was predeceased by his father Daniel Garcia Sr. in Mexico City, Mx.

Visitation will he held Friday, December 29th, 2023, at Mayer- Ethridge Funeral Home from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 30th, 2023, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Graveside Service will immediately follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Más adelante en su vida, conoció y se enamoró de su novia de la secundaria, Patricia Puntos. Para sellar su amor mutuo se casaron en agosto de 1992. El primer fruto de su matrimonio fue su hija mayor, Viri García. Poco después, emprendieron un viaje para mejorar la vida de su familia y se mudaron a los Estados Unidos en 1998. Eligieron Georgetown, Carolina del Sur, como su nuevo lugar de residencia. A su llegada, buscó empleo inmediato en la empresa Waccamaw Landscaping and Construction, propiedad y operada por Steven y Jean Rothrock en ese momento. Así comenzó su viaje con Waccamaw, al que Chad O'Brien se unió más tarde como cooperador. Fue leal al liderazgo de esta empresa y a la ética de trabajo que representa durante 25 años. Se mostró agradecido con esta empresa y la oportunidad que le brindó a su llegada a Estados Unidos. Esto fue evidente a través de los muchos años de servicio y trabajo que brindó a cambio.

Luego de establecerse en su lugar de residencia, dio la bienvenida al nacimiento de tres hijos más: Nathalia de 23 años, Jacqueline de 21 años y Daniel García Jr. de 17 años, quienes residen todos en Georgetown, Carolina del Sur.

Una parte importante de su vida luego se convirtió en la iglesia a la que asistía, la Iglesia Bautista Ebenezer, donde conoció al Señor en marzo del 2016. A partir de entonces, su vida cambió por completo y tenía un nuevo propósito en la vida. con su familia asistiendo fielmente y participando activamente en todas las actividades organizadas por la iglesia. Asumió puestos de liderazgo en la iglesia, como ayudar con el ministerio de parejas, dar devocionales durante las reuniones de oración y acompañar a otros líderes de la iglesia en la ganancia de almas los viernes por la noche. Le encantaba servir en cualquier área posible de su iglesia y mostró su amor por el Señor de esta y muchas otras maneras.

Además, Daniel disfrutó pasar tiempo con su familia y luego dio la bienvenida a tres nietos de su hija mayor: Valeria de 12 años, Daniela de 9 y Caleb Trejo de 8 meses. También le gustaba ir de compras con su esposa y hacer ejercicio regularmente en el gimnasio, donde hizo valiosas amistades. Le encantaba transmitir una mentalidad positiva a todos los que lo rodeaban. Se esforzó por encontrar momentos de enseñanza en los que pudiera ser una bendición para cualquiera que estuviera cerca.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 29 de diciembre de 2023 en la funeraria Mayer-Ethridge de 5:00 a 8:00 p.m. Los servicios funerarios serán a las 12:00 del mediodía el sábado 30 de diciembre de 2023 en la Iglesia Bautista Ringel Heights. El servicio de tumba se realizará inmediatamente en Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
