Pawleys Island
Daniel Curtis Hall, 89, widower of Mary Reeder Hall, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hall was born March 31, 1923, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Daniel Curtis Hall and Lelia Vaughn Hall. He grew up in Washington and graduated from High School there. Mr. Hall served in the Army during World War II. He was a retired employee of Bell Atlantic Telephone Co. and moved to Pawleys Island in 1984 from Vienna, Va. He coached girls' softball in the Georgetown Co. recreation league for a time. Mr. Hall was an avid golfer, former golf instructor, and had been active with Teach My People.
Surviving are: a son, Daniel C. Hall, Jr. (Barbara) of Georgetown; a daughter, Angela Hall of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Phyllis Ebert of Maryland; two granddaughters, Michelle Rhodes of Vienna, Va. and Elizabeth Hall of Pawleys Island; and two great-grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Rhodes.
Memorial services will be one o'clock Friday afternoon, January 4, 2013, at Pawleys Island Community Church Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald Williams. Inurnment will follow in Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
