Georgetown:
Daniel Dozier Hearl, Jr., 58, died Saturday, August 20, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Hearl was born in Moncks Corner on November 28, 1946, son of Daniel Dozier Hearl, Sr. and Florrie Shumpert Hearl. He grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Winyah High School, and attended N. C. State University. Mr. Hearl served in the Army in Japan during the Vietnam War and retired after serving in the S. C. Army National Guard with A Battery of the 4th Battalion of the 178th Field Artillery in Andrews. He was a former employee of International Paper Co. in Georgetown and The Good Neighbor Center in Charleston. Mr. Hearl was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Georgetown are: his wife, Sharon Lambert Hearl of Georgetown; two sons, Jason Hearl of Little River and Mitchell Hearl of Georgetown; a brother, Marvin Hearl of Walhalla; a sister, Charlene Burton of Talladega, Ala.; and grandson, Caleb Devin Hearl of Taberg, N. Y.
Funeral services will be three o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2005, at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Clide E. Glover and the Rev. Nelson Hearl. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
