Georgetown: Daniel Oliver "D.O." Martin, 96, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Martin was born in Oak Ridge section of Williamsburg Co. near Andrews on March 7, 1912, a son of the late Blackwell Gordon Martin and Mary Jane Ackerman Martin.  He grew up in the Oak Ridge section and moved to Georgetown in 1940.  Mr. Martin was the former owner-operator of the Star Market And Grocery and the Campus Corner Restaurant.  He retired in 1960.  Mr. Martin attended First Assembly of God. Surviving are: his wife, Bernice Davis Martin of Georgetown; a son, Daniel O. Martin, Jr. and his wife Donna of Georgetown; a daughter, Emily Faye M. Dickerson and her husband Robert of Elkhart, Ind.; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Monday morning, June 23, 2008, at First Assembly of God.  Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. C.
