Georgetown: Daphine McKnight Wynn, 78, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Wynn was born in Kingstree on May 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Rushton McKnight and Dorothy Layton Driggers McKnight. She grew up in Cades-Hebron area of Williamsburg Co. and moved to Georgetown as a young woman, where she was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Wynn was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. Surviving are: her husband John A. Wynn, Sr. of Georgetown; two sons, John A. Wynn, Jr. (Patricia) and Christopher L. Wynn (Kelly), both of Georgetown; a sister, Virginia Williamson of Darlington; five grandchildren, Mary A. Wynn, Alexander A. Wynn, Nickolas A. Wynn, John C. Wynn and Andrew Wynn; and a great-grandson, John L. Wynn. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
