Daphine McKnight Wynn, 78, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Wynn was born in Kingstree on May 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Rushton McKnight and Dorothy Layton Driggers McKnight. She grew up in Cades-Hebron area of Williamsburg Co. and moved to Georgetown as a young woman, where she was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Wynn was a member of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church.
Surviving are: her husband John A. Wynn, Sr. of Georgetown; two sons, John A. Wynn, Jr. (Patricia) and Christopher L. Wynn (Kelly), both of Georgetown; a sister, Virginia Williamson of Darlington; five grandchildren, Mary A. Wynn, Alexander A. Wynn, Nickolas A. Wynn, John C. Wynn and Andrew Wynn; and a great-grandson, John L. Wynn.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen P. Candal. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Baptist Churchyard.
