Georgetown:
David Clyde Dudley, 87, husband of Freida Ayers Dudley died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Dudley was born in Woodruff on March 20, 1934, a son of the late Grover Clyde Dudley and Elma Crutchfield Drummond Dudley of Hartsville. He lived in a number of places in South Carolina and moved to Georgetown several months ago. Mr. Dudley was the former owner of Dudley Insurance Agency and retired from Nationwide Insurance, where was a District Sales Manager. He was a former president of the Toastmasters in Charleston and a member of Saluda Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dudley was predeceased by a son, Mitchell K. Dudley.
Surviving are: his wife of Georgetown; a son, David Dudley, Jr. (Debbie) of Murrells Inlet; a step-son, Brian E. Silvey of Mt. Pleasant, and two grandsons, Chris Dudley (Suzanna) of Little Rock, AR and A Davis Dudley (fiancé Kelsey Schmidt) of Cleveland, OH.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring at a date and time to be announced.
