Andrews: David Michael Watford, 65, husband of June Wildes Watford, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mr. Watford was born in Georgetown in November of 1951, a son of the late Walter E. Watford, Sr. and Lila Elizabeth Ward Watford. He grew up in Andrews and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Mr. Watford had a great love for the outdoors and spending time with his family. David was best known as Papa David. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Survived are: his wife, June W. Watford of Andrews; a son, David "Dave" Michael Watford, II and his wife Adrienne of Georgetown; a sister, Linda W. Prince and her husband, Stan of Lititz, PA; three grandchildren, Carson, Peyton and Owen; and a number of nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Watford is predeceased by: a brother, Walter E. Watford Jr.; and a nephew, Shane Watford. Memorial Services will be held at three o'clock, Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2016, at The Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be Michael Thomas. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 21, 2016, at their residence, from five until seven o'clock.
