IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Marie Page
Hattaway
March 25, 1955 – January 9, 2023
McClellanville
Deborah Marie Page Hattaway, 67, wife of Errol Henry Hattaway, died, Monday, January 9th, at her McClellanville home with her family by her bedside.
Mrs. Hattaway was born in Georgetown on March 25, 1955, a daughter of the late John Leroy Page, Sr., and Lillian Lucille Denny Page.
Mrs. Hattaway grew up in McClellanville and graduated from Wando High School. She was a member of the former McClellanville Baptist Church. Mrs. Hattaway served as Secretary and Treasurer of the S.C. Shrimpers Association. Debbie, because of her great love for the Village, was very active in getting town projects and activities organized. She was responsible for erecting the Seaman's Memorial in McClellanville. Debbie enjoyed doing crafts, but ceramics were her favorite. She loved dancing, especially shagging and listening to beach music: she loved to have fun. Mrs. Hattaway was a wonderful wife, a great mom, and a loving grandmother. There will be a huge void in the community and in her loving family. She will be missed tremendously; however, she lived a good life and to the fullest. She is now at peace.
She is survived by her husband, Errol, of McClellanville; three children, Monica H. Plexico (Bobby) of Charleston, Christina H. Oyler (Chip) and Errol Justin (E.J) Hattaway both of McClellanville; two grandchildren, Henry Bennett and Betty Dean Oyler.
The visitation and viewing will be Thursday, January 12th at the United Methodist Church at 11:00 am until 12 noon. The funeral service will start at 12:00 noon and graveside services will follow at Five Fathom Baptist Church Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Emily Flemming and Pastor Donald Frasier, Sr.
