Georgetown: Deborah Elizabeth Mincy Thomas, 66, wife of Walter Bryant Thomas, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Thomas was born in Concord, NC on October 31, 1950, a daughter of the late Douglas Oscar Mincy and Nelie Rebecca Edwards Mincy. She was a long time member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served as assistant worship chair and as a Sunday morning greeter. Mrs. Thomas was active in "Keep Georgetown Clean" and enjoyed walking and running prior to her declining health. Surviving in addition to her husband of Georgetown are: two sisters, Sue Stroope (Jerry) of Concord, NC and Ann Meyers (Gary) of Woodleaf, NC. Memorial Services will be at eleven o'clock Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford.
