Patricia Diane Moore, 77, of Georgetown, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at MUSC, surrounded by her family.
Born on August 25, 1948, in Georgetown, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Judson Price and Myrtle Skipper Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Allen Moore and Roland Gunter; and her sisters, Mickey Price and Cindy Price.
A lifelong woman of deep faith, she dedicated her life to serving the Lord and sharing His love with those around her. She was a regular attendee of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church and found great joy in participating in Community Bible Study, as well as Bible study groups at Victory Christian Fellowship. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and a source of strength and encouragement to everyone who knew her.
She graduated from Winyah High School with the Class of 1966 and went on to build a life centered on hard work, service, and family. She proudly owned The Lady’s Helper before later continuing her career at GKCU, where she was known for her kindness, integrity, and dedication.
Above all, she treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved wholeheartedly and supported unconditionally. She leaves behind a legacy of steadfast faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her sons, Al (Jennifer) Moore of Savannah, Georgia, and grandchildren Allen, Maggie and Henry; Chris (Lindsay) Moore of Georgetown, South Carolina, and grandchildren Harper, Price, and Mac; and Jeff Moore of Statesboro, Georgia, and granddaughter Ashby.
She is also survived by her brother, Jim Price of Georgetown, South Carolina; her nephews, Judd (Julianna) Price of New Bern, North Carolina, and her great-nieces Eliza and Adelaide and Ryan Price of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; her sisters-in-law, Cathy Mattas and nephew Dimitri; Jean Moore and nephews and niece Bubba, Tiffany, Matt, and Mikey, along with many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00 A.M.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at the Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Martha’s House, Inc., P.O. Box 434, Georgetown, SC 29442.
