Andrews:
Donald Kevin McElveen, 57, died Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital after a prolonged battle with his health.
Mr. McElveen was born in Georgetown on July 8, 1964, a son of Inez Mills McElveen and the late Stephen Rodgers McElveen, Sr.
Donald grew up in Andrews and attended Williamsburg Elementary School and later attended the Earls Christian School. He had a kind soul and would do anything for anyone who needed him; he never let anyone leave his home if they needed a place to stay. Donald had a loving personality and his most wonderful times were when he was around the grands which called him "Duck". He loved to hunt, fish and spending time with friend.
In addition to his father, Mr. McElveen was predeceased by: his wife, Carla; and by a great-grandson, Colton Lofton.
Surviving are: his mother of Georgetown, two sons, John Ingram (Savanna) and Jay Gandy both of Andrews; three brothers, Stephen R. McElveen, Jr. and Richard McElveen both of Georgetown; and Bruce McElveen of Andrews; two sister, Debra McElveen Jackson of Newberry and Stephanie McElveen Bowers (Robert) of Andrews; grandchildren, Kinslee and Kelvin Ingram, Kaydence Sanders and Trey Lofton (Amanda); a daughter-in-law Melissa Dupree of Macedonia; one nephew, Miles McElveen; and three nieces, Jessica Woods, Carlin McKenzie and Ashlynn Bowers, one great-niece, Kenlin McKenzie and other extended family including Anita Brown..
Graveside services will be three o'clock Friday August 6, 2021, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the gravesite from two until three o'clock.
