Donald Frederick “Don” Mussman, 77, of Georgetown, South Carolina, husband of the late Kathy Jenelle Gambrell Mussman passed away on April 15, 2026, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Don was an avid fisherman who took his passion seriously. He loved North Inlet and the time he spent there with family and friends, especially the fishing trips he shared with his wife, Kathy. He also enjoyed dancing and shagging, reading and hunting. Don dedicated 35 years of service in Forestry with International Paper and later worked with White Oak Forestry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Jenelle Gambrell Mussman; his parents, August and Mary Mussman; and his brother, Phillip Mussman.

He is survived by his son, Terry Mussman (Mandy); stepchildren, Angela Allen (John) and Jay Todd; four grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Mussman, Isabella Mussman, Cody Allen, and Courtney Houston (Austin); six great-grandchildren, Lydia Grace Allen, Isaiah Allen, Levi Allen, Riley Faith Houston, Raelyn Houston, and Emeryn Houston; his brother, Mark Mussman (Susan); his sister, Janice Windham (Bobby); and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Maryville Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Georgetown County Library.
