McClellanville: Donna Marie Duncan Scott, 67, wife of Larry Garner, died Saturday, September 9, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Scott was born in Charlotte, NC on March 9, 1950, a daughter of the late Paul Harrill Duncan, Jr. and Mary Kabas Duncan Moore. She graduated from McClellanville High School and Winthrop College. Mrs. Scott taught in the middle schools in the Georgetown County School System for thirty-eight years. She attended New Wappataw Presbyterian Church. Surviving are: her husband of McClellanville; a daughter, Kathy Allen (Gilbert) of McClellanville; a son, George Scott, Jr. (Katie) of McClellanville; a step-son, Christopher Garner (Jessica) of Huger; a brother, Paul H. Duncan, III (Jeanette) of Georgetown; and grandchildren, Claire, Cody and Cade Allen and Sean and Rylee Garner. A Memorial service will be held Saturday morning, September 16, 2017, at eleven o'clock in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church. Officiating will the Rev. Steve Souther and Rev. Mike Fitz.
