Andrews: Dora Bell Tisdale Nichols, 72, widow of Garland Randall Nichols, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence. Mrs. Nichols was born in Kingstree on September 12, 1941, a daughter of the late Bennie Wesley Tisdale and Marion Elizabeth Howard Tisdale. She was a SC Mentor foster parent for 25 years and and employee of Piggly Wiggly. Mrs. Nichols attended Antioch Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are: a son, Randall Hewitt (Tammy) of Turbeville; two daughters, Dora Lynn Dail (Bobby) and Michelle Blakely (Ladon), both of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Justin Dail (Kelly Young), Jordan Dail, Jamison Dail, Taylor Blakely (Phillip Moree), Summer Blakely, Bryson Miller, and Gabrielle Hewitt; three great-grandchildren, Justice Dail, Josey Dail, and Jayce Moree; two sisters, Diane Barrineau (Ben) and Lois Mae Cook, both of Andrews; and a brother, Kelly Ward (Kathy) of Andrews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Nichols was predeceased by: her step-father, Kelly F. Ward; two brothers, Lloyd and Bobby Tisdale; and a brother-in-law, Richard Cook. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon, December 19, 2013, at Earles Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jeff Goude and the Rev. Allen Ard. Burial will follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2013, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight o'clock.
