Georgetown:
Doris Long Glass, 80, died Saturday, February 3, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Glass was born in Russellville on February 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Henry M. Long and Ethel O. Russell Long. She grew up in the Puncheon Creek section of Georgetown County and was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mrs. Glass was a retired medical secretary for Dr. C. Lide Williams and Dr. Richard M. Camlin. She attended Wayne United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: a son Keith A. Glass of Georgetown; three daughters, Sharron E. Thompson of Quartz Hills, Calif., Cynthia D. Martin of Georgetown, and Terri G. Moore of Dillon; a brother, Harold L. Long of Georgetown; and three sisters, Annabelle E. Elliott of Andrews and Jeanette J. Ward and Shirley A. Mackey, both of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, February 6, 2007, at Wayne United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Jordan. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery near Andrews.
