Georgetown:
Doris McAlister Lee, 80, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at the Lakes at Litchfield.
Mrs. Lee was born in Lake City on August 24, 1927, a daughter of the late Thomas Baker McAlister and Velma Ward McAlister. She lived the majority of her life in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mrs. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church and Young-As-Ever group and the Ruth Sunday School Class of the church. She was also involved with the church's Current Missions of the Women's Missionary Union. Mrs. Lee was a former volunteer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Guyrald "Guy" David Lee.
Surviving are: two daughters, Nancy Brown of Georgetown and Connie Hayes of Charlotte, N. C.; two sons, T. Thomas Lee of Awendaw and Tony (Candace) Lee of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Kim (Richie) Billington of McClellanville, Baker (Dan) Stout of Charlotte, N. C., Hadley Hayes of Auburn, Ala. and Dylan Lee and Rachel Lee, both of Georgetown; and a great-granddaughter, Katherine Stout of Charlotte, N. C.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, September 29, 2007, at First Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrill and the Rev. Hiram L. McElrath. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.
The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
