Georgetown:
Dorothy "Nell" Garrison Doyle, 81, widow of Ingell Hazard Doyle, died peacefully Sunday, December 28, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Doyle was born in Georgetown County on Eight Oaks Plantation on December 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Robert DuBose Garrison and Sadie Leila Wyndham Garrison. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1951 and from McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing in Florence in 1954. Mrs. Doyle was a registered nurse, worked private duty and was employed at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church.
Surviving are: three sons, Benjamin I. H. Doyle of Iowa City, IA, Joseph A. Doyle (Ainhoa) of Munich, Germany, and George E. Doyle (Paige) of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; four brothers, William H. Garrison (Hazel) of Mechanicsville, Va., Thomas M. Garrison (Betty) of Asheville, NC, Robert D. Garrison, Jr. (Sue) of Georgetown, and David B. Garrison (Diane) of Effingham; and a sister, Susan L. Runey (Henry) of Largo, Fla.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Doyle was predeceased by: two brothers, Robert Carlisle Garrison and Theodore D. Garrison.
Memorial services will be held at eleven o'clock on Saturday morning, January 3, 2015, at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Very Rev. Paul C. Fuener. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Church Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to: Frances Ingell Doyle, MD, Nursing Scholarship Fund in care of the Georgetown Hospital System Foundation, P.O. Box 1269, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
