Obituary

Andrews: Dorothy Mae Feagin Glisson, 80, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Glisson was born in Andrews on September 12, 1925, a daughter of James Edward Feagin and Eliza Rowe Feagin. She was a graduate of Andrews High School and lived all her life in the Andrews community. Mrs. Glisson retired, after over thirty years employment, from Oneita Industries. She was a faithful member of Pine Crest Baptist Church and served her church as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Clerk. Mrs. Glisson also served on various committees at the church and was a former choir member. She was the widow of James R. Glisson. Surviving are: two sons, Jimmy Glisson and Steve Glisson, both of Andrews; three daughters, Linda G. Renken of Charleston, and Sherri G. Evans and Rhonda G. Howard, both of Andrews; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will Friday afternoon, November 25, 2005 at three o'clock in Pine Crest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul W. Wall. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 24, 2005, from six until eight o'clock at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
