Obituary

Georgetown: Dorothy Pusey Shaw, 100, died Friday, February 3, 2006, at the Presbyterian Home of S. C. in Summerville. Mrs. Shaw was born in Peorna, Pa. on December 11, 1905, a daughter of the late Frank Edwin Pusey and Harriet Cross Pusey. She was a graduate of Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing in Clearfield, Pa. and was employed by International Paper Co. for twenty-one years. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church, the Leila Ford Sunday School Class, and the Inez Strait Circle of the Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of the American Association of Industrial Nurses and the Clearfield Hospital Nurses' Alumnae. Mrs. Shaw was the widow of Clifford K. Shaw. Surviving are: a nephew, Van Smith and his wife Phyllis of Murrysville, Pa.; and three great-nephews, Bret Smith and Dirk Smith, both of Murrysville, Pa., and Lance Smith of Redding, Calif. Funeral services will be 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen H. Wilkins. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
