IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie Lynwood
Morris
October 12, 1934 – January 2, 2026
Eddie Lynwood Morris, 91, of Andrews, SC, passed away on January 2, 2026, at Lowcountry Community Hospice House.
Born on October 12, 1934, in the Bloomingvale Community of Williamsburg County, SC, he was the son of the late John Marion Morris and the late Elizabeth Sports Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, daughter, and parents. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Seva Morris, William James "Bub" Morris, Marion Morris, Maylon Morris, Ollie Morris, Laurie Morris, and Bobby Joe Morris, and his sisters, Lydia Mae Gambone and Leola M. Altman.
Eddie was devoted to his wife, the late Pearl Lee Wilson Morris, and to his children: the late Readous "Rita" Morris, Elizabeth "Renee" (Dan) Tate, and Nicole "Nikki" (Eric) Manale.
Eddie was a steady, devoted man who lived a life rooted in family, faith, and the land he loved. Born on the farm that would always be home, he took great pride in its care and the values it instilled—hard work, perseverance, and humility. He retired from the International Paper Company in Georgetown, South Carolina, after many years of dedicated service.
One of Eddie's greatest joys was being a grandfather to Daniel "Ross" Tate, "Reade" Morris Tate, and "Liam" Eric Manale, whom he loved dearly and proudly spoke of often. He also found peace in fishing, enjoying quiet moments by the water. Strong, dependable, and kind, Eddie lived simply and loved deeply, leaving behind a legacy carried on through his family and all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A funeral service will be held at the home Eddie and Pearl lovingly shared on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Elim United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
