Georgetown:
Edgar "Ted" Norton Felder, 62, husband of Julie Collins Felder, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in the McLaren Greater Lasing Hospital, Lansing, MI.
Mr. Felder was born in Georgetown on April 2, 1957, a son of the late Isaac Bamberg Felder, Jr. and Ida Allene Marlowe Felder.
Known as Teddy to his childhood Friends, Ted grew up in Georgetown. He was a graduate of Winyah Academy and continued his education at Francis Marion University with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Felder was dedicated to and loved helping others as he spent the majority of his life serving and protecting the city of Georgetown as well as Andrews as a police officer until his retirement. He then went on to serve Georgetown County as a dispatcher until his second retirement. He had a great love for his feline friends and helped them whenever possible. Ted loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was a great friend to many, always glad to help anyone. He was a kind, caring man, husband and above all else he was a proud and loving father. He will be missed tremendously.
Surviving are: his wife, Julie Felder; a daughter, Sheila Felder of Lake City, SC; a step daughter, Stephanie; and a step son, Kenny, all of Lansing, MI. a sister, Myra (Bobby) Dingle of Pawleys Island, SC; two nephews and four great nieces and nephews along with many beloved cousins.
Graveside services will be two o'clock Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will the Rev. Kenneth Johnson.
