Andrews: Edith Frances McDaniel Edwards, 85, widow of Hugh Washington "Skeet" Edwards died Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Edwards was born in Florence on January 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Sanders Rudolph McDaniel and Blanche Windham McDaniel Cordrey. She worked at the Andrews Library for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews. Mrs. Edwards was an avid gardener and bird lover. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by: a sister, Dorothy Elizabeth McDaniel Cordrey and a brother, Sanders Rudolph McDaniel, Jr. Surviving are: a daughter, Susan Edwards Morris (Bruce) of Andrews; and two sons, Daniel Hayes Edwards (Carrie) of Atlanta, Ga. and Hugh Stewart Edwards (Amy) of Columbus, N. C. Also surviving are: eight grandchildren, Brooke Morris Berry (Sean), Erin Morris Chaves (Humberto), Courtney Morris Tilton (Elek), Megan Morris Hood (Aaron), Kaitlin Edwards Distler (Keith), Olivia Kathleen Edwards, Kelly Joanna Edwards, and Cristin Kimmel Edwards; six great-grandchildren, Maddie Berry, Rylan Berry, Lane Tilton, Sawyer Tilton, Eli Hood, and Mylee Distler; a brother, Lawrence Sherman McDaniel; and four sisters, Marlena Cordrey Ruby, Arlene Cordrey Fry, Dawn Cordrey Sturgeon, and Kitty Cordrey Creel. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, May 29, 2013, at the graveside in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald P.
