Georgetown:
Edna Owens Hardin, 94, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Mrs. Hardin was born in Florence on June 10, 1912, a daughter of the late Coley Whittington Owens and Eva Isgett Owens Bryant. She was a graduate of McClenaghan High School and attended Southeastern Commercial College. Mrs. Hardin was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class and the "Young as Ever" group of the church. Mrs. Hardin was a retired employee of Georgetown Kraft Credit Union. She was the widow of William Franklin Hardin, Sr. Mrs. Hardin was currently living at the Methodist Manor of the Pee Dee in Florence.
Surviving are: three sons, William F. Hardin of Dallas Tex., Charles A. Hardin and his wife Mary of Darlington, and Richard D. Hardin and his wife Cheryl of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, B. Dutchin Hardin of Beaufort; a sister Etta Mae Hughes of San Antonio, Tex.; seven grandchildren, Emily, Brooke, Burgin, Jonathan, Cathy, Travis, and Carina.; and a great-grandchild, James.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 28, 2007, at the graveside in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Hiram L. McElrath.
