Georgetown: Elbert Anderson Pope, Jr., 72, died Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Massachusetts. Mr. Pope was born August 27, 1945, in Georgetown, a son of the late Elbert Anderson Pope, Sr. and Geneva McDaniel Pope. He grew up in Georgetown and attended Winyah High School. Mr. Pope serviced in the US Airforce. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pope is predeceased by: a son, Eric Pope, and a brother, Ronnie C. Pope. Survivors are: a daughter, Carlette Young (Clay); a sister, Christine Hoeger (Karl); two brothers, Jerry Pope (Brenda) and Kenny Pope (Dianne), four grandchildren and two great-grandchild. Graveside Services will be at eleven o'clock Monday, April 2, 2018, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Clide Glover and the Rev. Greg Thompson.
