Georgetown:
Elda Kathleen Tephabock Girvin, 87, died Monday, February 18, 2013, at Agape Rehabilitation of Conway.
Mrs. Girvin was born in Laurel Dale, W. Va. on January 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Junior Emil Tephabock and Margaret Onee Conrad Tephabock. She moved to Maryland from W. Va. as a young woman. Mrs. Girvin work for Glenn L. Martin Company, an airplane manufacturer, during World War II and was a retired dental assistant. After retirement, she moved to Georgetown. Mrs. Girvin was a member of McClellanville United Methodist Church and was a past president of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are: two daughters, Nancy L. Whited (Roger) of Conway and Patricia L. Gross of McClellanville; a son, Ronald L. Girvin (Pat) of Perry Hall, Md.; a sister, Dee Ann Blake of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be three o'clock Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2013, at the graveside in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Harper. Inurnment will follow for Mrs. Girvin and her husband of sixty-one years, Russell LeRoy Girvin, in the cemetery.
