Eleanor Fleming Davidson, 84, died Saturday, February 5, 2005, in Sykesville, Md.
Mrs. Davidson was born in Laurens on December 24, 1920, a son of the late Robert Franklin Fleming and Florence Brown Fleming. She was a veteran of World War II and was a teacher and homemaker. Mrs. Davidson was the widow of A. Hawthorne Davidson.
Surviving are: a son, Adam Hawthorne Davidson and his wife, Laura of Waipahu, Hawaii; three daughters, Eleanor Crawford Davidson of Baltimore, Md., Juliet C. Davidson of Eldersburg, Md., and Florence Fleming Davidson of Kensington, Md.; two brothers, Robert Fleming and his wife Irene of Midland, Mich. and McDonald Fleming of Pelham, Ala.; a grandson, Joseph Thompson Davidson of Waipahu, Hawaii; nieces and nephews and their spouses, Catherine and David Edwards of Springville, Ala., Rhea and Donna Fleming of Simpsonville, and Robert Fleming of Pelham, Ala.; and great nieces and great nephews, Don and Ben Edwards of Springville, Ala. and Vallis Fleming of Simpsonville.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning, February 10, 2005, at eleven o'clock at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. E. Thomas Miller. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, February 9, 2005, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from five until eight.
