Eleanor J. O'Rourke, 73, widow of the late Franklyn S. O'Rourke, MD of Georgetown, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 following a brief illness.
Mrs. O'Rourke was born April 25, 1935 in Brooklyn, N. Y., a daughter of the late John McKinley and Jean McAlpine McKinley. She was a retired Registered nurse and homemaker. Mrs. O'Rourke was a graduate of Flower Fifth Avenue College of Nursing of N. Y. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and was very active in volunteer work within the community.
Survivors include a brother, Stephen McKinley of Naples, Fla.; a son, Franklyn S. (Skip) O'Rourke, Jr. and his wife Katheryn S. O'Rourke of Brandon, Fla., two daughters, Lisa J. Stalvey and her husband Rodney J. Stalvey of Georgetown and Stephanie L. O'Rourke and her husband Patrick H. Autry of Boerne, Tex.; four grandchildren, Christine M. Stalvey and Jonathan R. Stalvey, both of Georgetown, Sean P. O'Rourke of Brandon, Fla., and F. Miles Autry of Boerne, Tex.
The funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at one o'clock in Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Officiating will the Rev. Patrick J. Stenson.
