Georgetown: Eleanor West Stalvey, wife of the late Joseph E. Stalvey, died Monday, June 14, 2021, in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Stalvey was born in Charlotte, NC on January 23, 1935, daughter of the late Truman Victor West and Effie Reece West. She was a graduate of Winyah High School and graduated from Converse College. Mrs. Stalvey was one of the founding members of The Abbey of Pawleys Island. Moreover, she was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Stalvey was predeceased by a son, Vic Ruble and a sister, Doreen West Johnson (Willard Johnson). Surviving are: a daughter, Linda R. Crumpler (Rick) of Pawleys Island; a son, Hal Ruble of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Richard Colvin Crumpler, Jr. (Chelsea) of Greenville, Emily Crumpler Gonzalez (Eddie Gonzalez) of Fort Mill, Layne Ruble (Alyssa) of San Diego, California, and Blake Ruble (Keller Anne) of Denver, Colorado; a niece, Judy Johnson Clifton and nephew Dave Houser, both of Columbia. "Nana" is also survived by five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Thursday, June17, 2021, in The Abby at Pawleys Island at two o'clock PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Bob Grant. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
