Andrews:
Elizabeth Swails Brockington, 87, died Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Brockington was born in Andrews on August 19, 1917, a daughter of the late Arozy Washington Swails and Nina Porter Swails. She grew up in Andrews and was a graduate of Andrews High School and a beauty college. Mrs. Brockington served as a WAC in the Army Air Corps during World War II. She was the owner and operator of a beauty shop in Andrews for many years and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brockington was the widow of Lorenza Franklin Brockington.
Survivors include: an uncle, Jack Swails and a cousin, Nina Mae McLaughlin, both of Andrews.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, January 8, 2004, at the graveside in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Bruce Adams.
