Georgetown:

Elizabeth Ann Parsons April 30, 1957 - November 3, 2022

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann "Buff" Parsons passed away at her home in Georgetown, South Carolina at age 65. She was a beloved aunt, sister, daughter, and friend. Her family, friends, and most of all her cat "Prissy" will miss her dearly.

Elizabeth was the sweet caretaker of her family, and lover of all animals who were lucky enough to cross her path. She was the second of four children, and in many ways helped raise her sisters Jessie and Jean, and brother, Cliff. She spent her entire life in Georgetown, and lived at the family home she grew up in. She spent over a decade caring for her mother Peggy who passed in 2005. Elizabeth was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by countless cousins to play with, and aunts and uncles who looked after her, and she, after them. She always looked forward to seeing her family at Parsons' Thanksgiving, and Flowers family reunions.

She loved her niece and nephews with all her heart. She awaited their visits with great excitement and always had adventures planned for their stay. Whether to Pawley's Island for a beach day, the waterpark at Surfside, or shooting fireworks on the Fourth of July in her backyard - they never had a boring day at "Buff's House." She had a collection of work-out videos complete with the weights, trampoline, and steps which was cheap entertainment for them and a good way to burn off the junk food that she was also famous for filling her dining room table with prior to their visit. In her later years, they returned the favor by taking her out to her favorite spots for dinner and drinks, over to Pawley's Island, or to the Wooden Boat show on Front St.

Elizabeth was an active member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church and a long time employee of Georgetown Memorial Hospital. She leaves behind countless friends, coworkers, and fellow congregation members who will remember her fondly for her smile, laugh, and positive personality.

She was the daughter of Clifford Delmaine Parsons, Jr. and Peggy Yaun Ford. She is predeceased by her brother Cliff (Paige) Parsons of Columbia, SC, sister Jeannie Ford (David) Colwell of Goose Creek, SC, and beloved uncle Ralph Ford of Georgetown. She is survived by her sister, Jessie Ford of Columbia, SC; sister-in-law Paige Parsons (Ronald) Lewis of Manning, SC; niece Amanda Parsons Cook and grandnephew Thatcher Cook of High Point, NC; nephew Ryan Parsons of Seward, AK; and nephew Blake (Nahelani) Parsons and grandniece Anela of Saint Paul, MN.

A remembrance of life will be held for Elizabeth in the Fellowship Hall at Georgetown Presbyterian Church on Tuesday November 22nd at 2pm. All are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St Frances Animal Center and Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
