Ella Kay (Jordan) Port, 72, of Georgetown, South Carolina, finished her valiant battle with cancer on October 20, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Marion, South Carolina, she was the daughter of William Hubbard Jordan and Geneva (McCracken) Baumeister. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her stepfather, Gert D. Baumeister, and her sister, Riva Lynn Jordan Waldron.

Ella Kay was the beloved wife of Julian Levon Port, Jr., and a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. She had a deep, unwavering love for her family and friends. She attended the University of South Carolina at Conway where she studied Political Science and Business. For many years she was the bookkeeper and later, the Plant Manager of Pawleys Island Hammock Company. In more recent years she provided bookkeeping for 3S Team, LLC.

She was affectionately known in Pawleys Island Creek as the Flounder Lady and delighted in not only catching more flounder than most in Georgetown County, but also in preparing them to be savored by her loving family and friends. She was a natural nurturer whose steadfast commitment to her family made her their true anchor. As an avid bird watcher, a gardener with prize winning and coveted hydrangeas, and a culinary magician. Ella Kay mastered enjoying the simple pleasures God created.

She is survived by her devoted husband of thirty years, Julian Levon Port, Jr.; her children, Amanda England Wright (Albert), Megan Caroline England (Philip Johnson), Levon Scott Port (Jessica), Danielle Coker (Ryan), William Clayton Sikes (Mindi); grandchildren, Kayla Collins (Cody), Rylee Port, Lacey Port, Scottie Port, Kinley Coker, Maisyn Sikes, and Isabella Wright; and great-grandchildren, Koah Collins, Delilah Collins, and Colt Tanner; her sister, Jennifer Mills of Chattanooga (Jay); brother, Oliver Baumeister (Gaby) of Marl, Germany; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved dearly.

The family would especially like to thank Robert Fudge, Miranda Smith and Ella Kay’s work family at 3S Team, LLC for all of their support over the last years. They also extend much gratitude to Shonda Jenkins, Betty Knowlin, Abigail McKinght, Frances Simmons, and the staff at Tidelands Hospice for their kindness and care during her peaceful transition.
