Sumter: Elphena Carraway Miller, 86, died Thursday, January 4, 2007, at Toumey Regional Medical Center in Sumter. Mrs. Miller was born in Georgetown Co. on October 15, 1920, a daughter of the late William and Agnes Carraway. She graduated from Winyah High School, was a member of Dalzell Baptist Church, and was the widow of William Lawrence Miller. Surviving are: a daughter, Kay Miller Vinson of Dalzell; a granddaughter, Leigh Anne Bost of Sumter; a great-granddaughter, Sara Katherine Bost of Sumter; and a brother, Arnold Carraway of Mesa, Ariz. Funeral services will be ten o'clock Saturday morning, January 6, 2007, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Georgetown. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
