Emma Josephine "Emma Joe" Thompson Hathaway, 63, wife of Richard E. Hathaway, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Emma Jo was born in Georgetown on September 3, 1951, a daughter of the late Thomas David Thompson and Josephine Plyer Thompson. She grew up in Georgetown and attended Winyh High School. Mrs. Hathaway attended Andrews Holiness Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 6444.
Surviving are: her husband of McClellanville, one sister, Dorothy Thompson McClellan (James) of Georgetown, two brothers, Stanley Thompson (Tina) and Mark Thompson both of Georgetown.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Hathaway was predeceased by: a brother, David Thompson and a sister, Lynne Thompson.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Thursday morning, March 19, 2015, at Andrews Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ray Hutto. Burial will follow in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery in McClellanville.
