Georgetown: Esteban Marin, 84, husband of the late Socorro Silva Cortez, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Marin was born September 2, 1934, in Santa Cruz Tacache-de-Mina, Mexico, a son of the late Florentino Marin and Rigoberto Mendez Marin. He has been a faithful employee of Parson's Nursery for over twenty years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Marin is predeceased by: a son, Alfredo Javies Marin Silva. Surviving are: four sons, Faustino Marin Silva, Rodolfo Salomon Marin Silva, his wife, Virginia Escalona Zanches, Angel Marin Silva, his wife, Isaura Duran and Rigoberto Marin Silva, his wife Natalia Hernandez Cardoso; two daughters, Maria Ester Marin Silva and Rosa Fidelina Marin Silva, her husband, Daniel Guevara Reyes; and fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be seven o'clock pm, Wednesday August 14, 2019, at Saint Mary's Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church.
