Obituary

Georgetown: Ethel Bellune Kaminski, 99, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown. Mrs. Kaminski was born at Snow Mill Plantation in Georgetown Co. on March 13, 1906, the daughter of the late Miles Sherrod Bellune and Lena Belle Skinner Bellune. She attended schools in Plantersville and Georgetown and graduated from Chicora College. Mrs. Kaminski taught school in Andrews and Georgetown for many years and was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. She was active in school and church work and organized the Prince George Recipes Book. Mrs. Kaminski and her husband lived in Pawley's Island for a time and were former communicants of All Saints, Waccamaw, Episcopal Church. Mrs. Kaminski was predeceased by: her husband, Edwin Washington Kaminski, II; and two brothers, Brightman Skinner Bellune and William Thomas Bellune. Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Eva W. Bellune of Georgetown; three nephews, William Thomas Bellune, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, and Herbert Skinner Bellune, all of Georgetown, and Michael B. Prevost and his wife Ginny of McClellanville; three nieces, Margaret Bellune Ulrichsen of Georgetown, Frances Bellune Gillilard and her husband Lynn of King George, Va., and Ruth Bellune Allee and her husband Bill of Greenville. Funeral services will be two o'clock Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2005, at Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul C. Fuener and the Rev. Scott R. Fleischer. Burial will follow in the All Saints Church Cemetery at Pawley's Island. The family would like to thank Mrs. Kaminski's primary caregivers: Dorothy Robinson, Carlethia Williams, and Peggy Ford.
