Andrews:
Etoile Hodge Grant, 98, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at the Franke Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Grant was born in Alcolu on August 6, 1908, a daughter of the late John Robert Hodge and Anna Fann Hodge. She was a graduate of Trinity High School and Newberry College. After retiring as an elementary school teacher from Williamsburg Elementary School in 1970, Mrs. Grant taught at Andrews Christian School for five years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Daisy Watson Church School Class, and the Anna Hannah Circle of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Grant was predeceased by: her husband, J. Ramsay Grant; a son, George R. Grant; and a son-in-law, Clarence R. Alexander.
Surviving are: three sons, J. Ramsay Grant, Jr. and his wife Mary of Marion, N. C., William A. Grant and his wife Vicki of Ladson, and J. Louis Grant and his wife Vicki of Hilton Head Island; two daughters, Etoile G. Alexander of Charleston and Lillie G. Hilton and her husband Ed of Midlothian, Va.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley K. Grant of Andrews; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven-thirty o'clock, Friday morning, March 16, 2007, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. J. Robert "Bob" Huggins and the Rev. Sandra Stevens Poirel. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
