Eva Mae Bone Overbey, 90, was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Maurice "Mike" Overbey, on Tuesday, July 12, 2023. Born in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Roy Wilson Bone and Sarah Edna (Ward) Bone, she entered into eternal rest at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

A graduate of Andrews High School, Eva Mae operated her father's business, Roy Bone's Grocery, throughout her younger years. She married Maurice, her life-long love, in 1969 and together they operated Video Country VHS tape rentals. A woman of many talents, she is most fondly remembered as a loving and devoted homemaker.

Eva Mae is survived by her only son, Ricky Lee Bone, and one brother, Rocky Bone, and his wife, Victoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice "Mike" Overbey; sister, Thelma Bone Altman; and four brothers, R. L. Bone, Hubert Bone, O'Neal Bone, and Jimmy Bone.

The funeral service for Eva Mae Bone Overbey will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2023, at Sampit United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church.

The Georgetown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
