Georgetown:
Eva Jordan Joye, 82, widow of Hubert Jordan, Sr. and Donald Breckenridge, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Eva was born in Andrews on August 4, 1930, a daughter of the late Charlie James Yarborough and Fannie Lee Cox Yarborough. She grew up in the Warsaw community of Williamsburg County. Mrs. Eva was an avid gardener and was very active with the family commercial fishing business. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and had two loving friends, her dogs "Charlie" and "Jack".
Surviving are: two sons, Hubert W. Jordan, Jr. (Kitty) and Arnold Dean Jordan (Gina), both of Georgetown; a daughter, Jo Anne Swinnie (Tom) of Georgetown; a sister, Wanda Gray of Georgetown; two brothers, Jimmy Yarborough and Donald Yarborough, both of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Melissa Swinnie McCully (Craig), Thomas Andrew Swinnie, III (Keels), Sabrina Jordan Johnson (Stoney), Angela Jordan Roberts (Wayne), Hubert "Bert" Jordan, III (Michelle), Megan Elise Jordan, Krysten Jordan Holladay (Coley), Ashley Jordan Grim (Cody), and Brittany Carter; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2013, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Wilson. Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, June 7, 2013, at the funeral home from six until eight o'clock.
