Andrews; Evelyn Lambert Floyd, 75, wife of Homer H. Floyd, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Floyd was born in Georgetown on March 5, 1942, a daughter of the late Willie Thero "Buster" Lambert and Letha Mae Creel Lambert. She grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Evelyn and Homer were married July 16, 1961 and lived in Georgetown. They moved to the Warsaw Community of Andrews in 1979, where they joined Black River Original Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Floyd was member of the Ladies Auxiliary and many other committees of the Church. She was a homemaker and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Floyd was predeceased by; a daughter, Angela Kay Floyd Jackson; two brothers, Robert C. Lambert and John (Tommy) W. Lambert; and a sister, Patricia A. Lambert. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Andrews, are: a son, Timmy Floyd (Susie) of Andrews; two daughters, Lisa Floyd Wildes (Mark) of Andrews and Amy Floyd Ward (Jacob) of Georgetown; two brothers, Roland A. Lambert (Lorriane) and William L. Lambert (Barbara) both of Georgetown; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday morning, March 24, 2017, at eleven o'clock in Black River Original Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Bruce Jones and Bishop Jimmy Smith. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 23, 2017, from six until eight o'clock at Black River Original Free Will Baptist Church.
