Georgetown:
Florence Bright Browder, 80, died Thursday, September 7, 2006, at her residence.
Mrs. Browder was born in the Wampee section of Horry Co. on August 25, 1926, daughter of the late Joe Bright and Laura Skipper Bright. She grew up in Wampee and lived in Georgetown most of her life. Mrs. Browder was an active member of Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church and served her church in numerous positions. She was a former teacher of both the Youth and Adult Sunday School Classes, head of the Ladies Ministry Auxiliary, and Sampit Church Representative for Falcon Children's Home.
Survivors include: her husband, Willie Roland Browder of Georgetown; two sons, Rev. Joseph Kertis Hewitt and his wife Virginia Dale and Joseph Frankie Hewitt and his wife Carolyn, all of Georgetown; a sister, Toni Gaertner and her husband Freddie of Florence; grandsons, Russell Dale Hewitt and his wife Jessica, Joey Paul Hewitt and his wife Renee, and Joseph Kertis Hewitt, Jr.; granddaughters, Linda Mitchell and her husband John and Wendy Hewitt; and a number of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 10, 2006, at Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Henry Duncan, Jr., the Rev. Aldon Johnson, the Rev. Jeff Goude, and the Rev. Bruce Adams. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church Saturday evening, September 9, 2006 from six until eight.
