Andrews:
Floride Josey Reynolds, 93, widow of Julian A. "Bud" Reynolds, died Friday, October 13, 2006 at home.
Mrs. Reynolds was born in Lee County on August 19, 1913. She was a daughter of the late Luther Fleming Josey and Edith Scarborough Josey.
Mrs. Reynolds was a graduate of Coker College in Hartsville and taught school in Lee County until she married. She was a homemaker and "managed" Reynolds Drug Store until her retirement. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Andrews Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and an active member of the Women of the Church.
Mrs. Reynolds was predeceased by: two brothers, English R. Josey and Luther F. Josey, Jr.; and four sisters, Elma J. Barnes, Mildred J. Foxworth, Dorothy J. Welch, and Harriett Josey.
Surviving are: a son, Julian A. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Martha of Andrews; three daughters, Edith F. Reynolds of Andrews, Chris R. McNinch and her husband Jim of Columbia, and Rebecca E. Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Steven R. Thigpen of Pawleys Island, Josey T. Vereen of Murrells Inlet, Jessica T. Legge of Andrews, and Leah McNinch and Dwight McNinch, both of Columbia; four great-grandchildren, Brantley Gailey, Bailey Vereen, Olivia Thigpen, and Chandler Vereen; two sisters, Wave J. Parks of Columbia and Lucia S. Caldwell of Prosperity; two sisters-in-law, Elva H. Josey of Beaufort and Mary B. Josey of St. Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be three o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2006, in Andrews Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jim Hope. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
