Andrews: Florrie Bernice Cox, 70, went home to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Ms. Cox was born in Andrews on July 21, 1942, a daughter of the late Cleve Cox and Leila Idell Avant Cox. She grew up in the Piney Forest community of Andrews and was retired from working in both home aide care and as a private duty nurse's aide. Ms. Cox (Nana) was a loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Surviving are: two sons, Jeffrey Koch of Andrews and Duane "Butch" Koch of Sandusky, OH; three daughters, Jeri Elliott and Tammy Glass (Robert), both of Andrews, and Cheryl Evans (James) of Georgetown; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald "Bubba" Cox (Mary) of Andrews; and three sisters, Patricia Cox of Hemingway, Darla Cox of Andrews, and Audrey Cox (Grover) of Ellerbe, NC. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cox was predeceased by: a brother, Rusty Cox; and a sister, Shelby Cox. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2013, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Thomas Casselman.
