Andrews:
Frances Bonelle Cox Harrelson, 87, wife of the late Benjamin Fraser "Tim" Harrelson, died Friday, August 4, 2017, at her son's residence in Georgetown.
Mrs. Harrelson was born in Loris on August 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Austin Bardy Cox and Maude Elizabeth Watts Cox. She grew up in Loris and graduated Loris High School. Bonelle and Tim were high school sweethearts, were married in 1947, and celebrated fifty eight years together. Mrs. Harrelson made her career in banking and worked for Andrews Bank and Trust, South Carolina National and Wachovia until retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews where she served on many committees including the Church Prayer Group. Mrs. Harrelson had a great love for her flower and vegetable gardens and was a very accomplished cook and seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Harrelson was predeceased by her parents and a brother, N. J. Cox.
Surviving are: a son, Timothy "Tim" Harrelson (Melinda) of Georgetown; a daughter, Myra H. Cox (Glenn) of Pawleys Island; three brothers, Linwood Cox (Manoli) of N. Myrtle Beach, Bobby Cox (Nancy) of Conway, and Roger Cox (Carol) of Garden City; four sisters, Carolyn Stevens of Conway, Janette Blackwell (Lester) of Columbia, Princess Anne Gentry (LeGrand) of Saint George, and Sara Lynn Olson (Doug) of Louisville, CO. six grandchildren, Jennifer Cox Brown (Chris), Ellen Cox Alsbrook (Kevin), Timothy M. Harrelson (Katrina), Jessica H. Thomas (Kevin), Josh A. Harrelson and John C. Harrelson, and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from one until two-thirty o'clock.
Funeral Services will be two-thirty o'clock Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Ken Adams. Burial will be at five o'clock in the Carter Cemetery, Loris, SC.
