Pawleys Island:

Frances "Frankie" Siau Michaelis, 73, passed away peacefully March 23, 2023, with her children by her side. Frankie was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on July 27, 1949, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Harrell Siau, Jr.

Frankie grew up in Georgetown, graduated from Winyah High School, and earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Winthrop College. She had a long, wonderful career as a State Farm Agent before her retirement. She was married to the love of her life, Dennis J. Michaelis until his death in 2021. Frankie was also a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her two children Catherine "Capi" Gallier of Murrells Inlet, Caroline Hoppe (Jeff) of Pawleys Island, three grandchildren, Will Gallier, Alex Gallier, and Norah Hoppe, and her two siblings, Susan "Hankie" Harvey (Bill) of Pawleys Island and Harrell Siau of Florida. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise "Weezie" Stanton.

All services are private, but the family ask that you celebrate Frankie's life by living your life

to the fullest.
